Hello, I'm new here, using Gixen for the first time.
What's the difference between the messages "BID UNDER ASKING PRICE" and "ENDED" on the status column, when you lose a bid?
Thanks |

If you see just "ENDED" this indicates an unexpected result - e.g. seller ending auction early. If you have an auction with ENDED status, post the item id here (or email if you don't want it public) and I'll take a look at what happened. |

Thanks for the quick reply.
These are my two bids that display an "ENDED" status
120359312879
270326468907
I just realized that the seconde one is not available for eBay USA, perhaps I should change my settings to point to eBay.de. As for the first one, I don't know what happened. |

Ah, these both were "BID UNDER ASKING PRICE", however you could have seen "ENDED" status for a while until the status was updated. What happens is - when current price is already higher than your maximum bid, Gixen will just skip these snipes without even trying to place a bid, and you will see "ENDED" for an hour or so until status gets updated to "BID UNDER ASKING PRICE". |

Does "Bid under Asking" mean that Gixen sniped an eBay auction even though the snipe bid was below the current bid *or* that the snipe bid wasn't sniped because it was under the current bid of the eBay auction.
The reason I ask is that I have many snipe bids that end up below the final auction bid, sometimes hours in advance. I wouldn't want to get blackballed by eBay for sniping under the current auction bid if Gixen knew my snipe was below that current bid.
I guess what I'm thinking is maybe there should be more clarity, such as a "No bid made" (as it is under current bid) and a "Bid under final price" which means the bid was made (as it was over the current bid) but the snipe failed as someone had a higher bid than the snipe. |

Gixen will not snipe if the current price is above your maximum bid. It will not even log in with your credentials. |

This would be 'Outbid' on Gixen if the winning bid were placed before the one Gixen placed for you and 'Outsniped' if the winning bid were placed after the one that Gixen placed for you.
Mario, I guess that Gixen does log in and attempt to place a bid that is above the current auction price but below one increment above that price, which is still 'Bid Under Asking Price'? _________________ Mark |

True, accounting for bid increments for all the different currencies (these are different) would be too much logic with very little benefit. |
