|
|
I changed my eBay username and got an email that it had unlinked from Gixen, which I expected but once I linked it it just unlinks again a couple of minutes later. I have an inbox full of ?account unlinked? emails and am pretty frustrated with it at this point. I?ve tried logging out of eBay, clearing history and website data and revoked authorisation on third party access on eBay then re-linked again. I even tried on private browsing as someone said that worked for them. All to no avail, it appears to work then unlinks again. I?m tempted to create a new Gixen account and transfer my mirror subscription (I saw that was a thing that could be done while looking around in settings). Help please! TIA. |

It is interesting saying that you've removed the authorisation on the Ebay side; which implies it was still there to remove ? In which case is it possible that the only error here is that you're getting multiple emails, saying it's been removed when it hasn't, at least on the Ebay side of things ? In these circumstances what do you see in the second section of the Gixen Settings page, is that saying there is no link to Ebay ?
Having tried all that you've already described, I think, before setting up a new account and transferring (which certainly is an option, but should not be necessary), I would share your experience with Mario directly via email at the support address given on the Contact page.
It is possible he has better suggestions as to what to try.
Please always include your Gixen id in all correspondence. _________________ Mark |

My thoughts exactly about the ability to revoke on eBay.
Once it?s (briefly) reconnected the error message on gixen goes away, then I get the disconnected email and this error message re-appears on my gixen snipes page:
Your ebay authorization has expired or expires in less than 10 days. Please renew it on the Gixen settings page or your snipes may fail. Your eBay authorization to Gixen has been revoked (). Please renew it on the Gixen settings page or your snipes may fail.
Thanks for your input, I?ll email once I?ve done work. Much appreciated! |

Certainly sounds like it's an issue on the Gixen side then.
Do you also have snipes scheduled that are completing/failing while you are re-authorising, or just after that ? _________________ Mark |

It?s only just become an issue so I?ve only had one auction during this time. It ended not long ago and I bid manually due to this issue but I got an email from gixen saying I?d won. I checked the bidding history and there was only one bid from my account so I assume it was the manual one because I definitely know I did that. I?m not 100% certain because it?s been a while, but right in the beginning of using gixen I placed a bid manually as well as a scheduled one on gixen (I really wanted the thing lol) and I think there were two bids recorded then, manual and gixen bid. It?s confusing for sure. I don?t have any auctions to bid on for three days so think I?ll get back at this (send the email as suggested) tomorrow, it?s been a long one today! Thanks again for your replies |

Yes, still send the email... Mario may well have other ideas about what is going on here.
Previously Mario has stated that Gixen doesn't report WON auctions unless it successfully places the bid itself... so, unless that's been changed it's odd in two respects, firstly that there are not two bids, if you successfully placed one yourself too, and secondly that it's reporting that status having failed to place a bid itself. _________________ Mark |
