My home page says \"Your ebay authorization has expired or expires in less than 10 days. Please renew it on the Gixen settings page or your snipes may fail.\"
My settings page says \"Your Gixen mirror subscription is good until Sun, Apr 6, 2025.\" (It's January 27 today.)
WTF? |

The item sold for $12. I bid $20. eBay item number:176799749168
I lost because Gixen is a shitty service that can't keep track of its own subscriptions. Up yours. |

Please first read this which explains clearly that:

There's no need to apologise, however I am willing to remove this (and this quote of it) at your request... the ball is in your court on that. _________________ Mark |

Leave it up, it may help someone else, as your section on this is confusing.
Your page notes \"One of the most common issues that confuse Gixen users is an expired eBay authorization. Unlike what many users assume...\"
If it's a common issue that confuses many users, that's a clue you might want to clarify it. |

Fair enough, it stays.
I hope you've now resolved this on your Gixen account, with the help of the blog.
Good luck with your future snipes.
For future reference, the forum search (for \"authorization expired\") can also be useful, as this issue has been discussed here many times.
The subject of authorization is also covered in various contexts on the FAQ page. I recommend that every user read the whole of that, at least once. _________________ Mark

Regardless of your views on Gixen, you have no way of knowing whether your $20 bid would, or would not, have won the auction.
It's entirely possible that the users who won at $12 might have placed a snipe which was higher than $20. (They had certainly placed a bid higher than $12). |
