|
|
I have 3 auctions where I placed my highest bid as $15, but they all ended with a final price of around $3-$10.
All of them have status \"ENDED\".
Am I doing something wrong?
I suspect that maybe the person who put up the auction ended it themselves because they didn't like where the price was at the time?
If this is what's happening, is there anything I can do about this? |

Can you provide example auction id numbers?
Generally Ebay will post a banner on auctions that are ended early by the seller stating the reason the seller gave for ending it early. Generally, if any bids were placed, you can also tell from the starting and ending times on the bids page.
There is not much you can do to force a seller to allow an auction to run its course, but it's been suggested that placing a small opening bid demonstrates your interest.
Sellers can also see how many people are watching their auctions, though watching the item can also be counter productive if there's not many or only very low bids as then the seller might start thinking it's likely to sell below the value that the high interest indicates it should.
At this stage, if you are sure the seller has withdrawn it from sale, it might be worth contacting them to see if they are still looking to sell the item. _________________ Mark |

That's an image taken from your History page isn't it ?
If you update/delete your snipe, there are often multiple entries there that don't relate to the situation at the end of the auction. You get a new record there every time you edit the snipe and they just reflect the situation at the time that you made the edit. Also when you delete them they don't get updated again when the auction actually ends.
The final price on auction 116278240147 was $86.00 and none of them ended with a 'final price of around $3-$10'. _________________ Mark |

Ok that's interesting, I didn't know that's how it handles edits.
Is there a way to filter out previous edits from the \"My Snipes\" list?
Edit: Or I guess it would be more accurate to say \"remove edits from the history list\" not the My Snipes list. |

The only way, that I know of, at the moment, to filter results on the History page is via the search facility. _________________ Mark |
