Hi, I often set up bids for many items a week. For the past few months when I import my eBay watchlist Gixen only imports a few of my watched items. If I continue to import (over and over), I get a few more each time (20 or so?). Any idea what I can do to get Gixen to import the entire watch list? I do have a good number of completed auctions on my watch list as well, in case that matters.
Your product and support are greatly appreciated! |

How many items do you have on your watch list and how many of those are auctions that have not ended yet ?
On Ebay do you choose to display only a proportion of those per page ? If so, how many do you display and is there any relationship between what gets imported an what gets displayed on each of those pages ?
Do you see any patterns in the auctions that get imported and those that don't, for example are those ending soonest more likely to be imported than those that don't, or are only the ones that also still have active Buy It Now options the ones that don't get imported, only those below a certain price get imported, etc. etc. ?
Can you provide any example ids of auctions that are on your watch list but are not getting imported to your snipes list ? _________________ Mark |

Hi Mark,
Thanks for your thoughts.
316 items in watch list, a good number of them already completed (not sure of exact #, but I can report once I've finished importing everything later this evening).
Viewing 100 items at a time in eBay.
12 completed items in Gixen list to start with.
No Buy It Now items.
I start to import newly 'watched' items
1st import = 32 items
2nd import -> total of 58 (26 new)
3rd import -> total of 86, (30 new)
4th import -> total of 112 (26 new)
etc. ...
Items are imported in pending date order (I think), no relationship to current bid price, or any other pattern that I'm currently noticing.
All items will eventually get imported if I just keep clicking on Import WL enough times. |

How long do you leave it between clicks of the Import button ?
I'm wondering if it's taking a long time to import your watch list and that the extra clicks are just a coincidence in that they display more snipes each time from the original request ?
I'm also wondering if there's some sort of timeout that only allows the process to work on importing your snipes for a certain amount of time before it effectively gives up... _________________ Mark |

Hi Mark,
I wait until the revolving circles go away leaving a blank window. I then need to refresh.
Yes, there might be a time-out of some kind; that's more or less what I'm expecting and hoping can get 'fixed' somehow.
I'll import just tomorrows auctions this evening, then after I've priced all of those out, I'll click 'Import WL' again and just leave it for fifteen minutes or so to see how many end up getting loaded. |

Hi Mark,
I did the first import (26 items of which I deleted two). The spent a while pricing those. Then did a 2nd import and waited 15 minutes. This brought in 27 new items, so waiting between clicks didn't help. |

So it looks like each click brings in between 25 and 30 from your list of around 200 active auctions ? _________________ Mark |

Does it bear any relation to the number of items that you have displayed per page on Ebay ? _________________ Mark |

Hi I am having similar issues. I didn't notice it until today
Using web interface
261 active watchlist items
100 items per page in Ebay
1. started today with 128 items in Gixen
2. re-imported, it went to 163.
3. after multiple refreshes/import WL attempts (took about 5 minutes) - it refreshed to 187 (4:11pm)
4. repeated multiple attempts - refreshed to 214 at 4:15pm
5. tried again at 4:17pm - refreshed to 233 items but also gave warning/notice = \"No items imported. Note that completed and buy-it-now-only watched listings will not get imported.\"
6. Clicked refresh at 4:22pm and refreshed to 239 items, but no table was displayed in the webpage. The rest of the webpage, including links displayed as normal.
7. repeated multiple attempts - refreshed to 240 at 4:28pm
Now it's 433pm, stuck at 240 items in Snipe list. Without going line by line, I can't figure out which of my watchlist items are missing from the Snipe list. I can't wait constantly refreshing, so I may miss out on some deals.
Thanks for trying to get to the bottom of this. |
