Hello. This listing is from a seller in France.
Item Id number 353463940808
When I try to add it, I get the following error:
Error: array ( 'errorId' => 11001, 'domain' => 'API_BROWSE', 'category' => 'REQUEST', 'message' => 'The specified item Id was not found.', )
Error: array ( 'errorId' => 11001, 'domain' => 'API_BROWSE', 'category' => 'REQUEST', 'message' => 'The specified item Id was not found.', )
Could not add this item (353463940808)(1, -1).
Could you please investigate? Thank you. |

This is a known issue, it's because the seller is away. This was last noted at the end of this thread.
At the top of the listing it states:
Quote: | The seller is away until 30 Apr, 2021. Add this item to your watchlist to keep track of it. |
You may need to bid manually on this one. _________________ Mark |

Thanks for the replies. Another related question. Suppose it is a long auction and the seller decides to "go away" AFTER we have added their item number to Gixen, will this bid be successful or will it fail? |

To be honest I don't know.
Before this current manifestation of the problem you could add them as snipes but then it failed at the point of submitting the bid... until we can get to an example of that situation we are not going to have a definitive answer as to whether Ebay fixed that issue when they introduced this related one. _________________ Mark |

Today I tried to do a manual snipe on a listing from which the seller was away. I clicked on the "Place bid" button when about 40 seconds were remaining. I entered my maximum bid and waited till the countdown came to 7 seconds and pressed the "Bid" button. My bid was submitted, but when the page reloaded it showed no bids? What is the minimum time when we need to place manual bids like this? I only hope the seller relists it again. |

I think I have seen an extra step on the Ebay site for these auctions, so I'd recommend aiming to complete the usual process at least 30 seconds before the end of the auction to take account of maybe having to negotiate that extra step as well. _________________ Mark |

I was just about to post same query when I noticed this thread.
I’ve just had this problem on half a dozen items entered via IMPORT WATCH LIST. It’s a problem I’ve encountered previously with the same Seller but hadn’t noticed they were AWAY before. They seem to be AWAY a lot! Now I know, thanks. |
