Cannot pay for mirror

Hi,

I'm using a VPN from China to access your site without issues.

However, tonight I am trying to add your mirror service but the link to PayPal doesn't work (timeout).

When I turn off the VPN I get the PayPal login screen, but after logging in successfully the PayPal result is:

"We're sorry, but we can't send your payment right now
Return to merchant and try a different payment method
We are not able to process your payment using your PayPal account at this time. Please return to the merchant's website and try using a different payment method (if available)."

I have some important auctions tomorrow.. Hope you can help!

I was confusing two issues.

Paypal website cannot be accessed at all with my VPN client turned on.

So, with VPN turned off I can a) use Gixen normally and b) access the PayPal payment page and login.

However, I still get the message "We're sorry, but we can't send your payment right now"

I assumed that because my bank account is linked to my PayPal account that I could pay for your Mirror Service using my bank card via PayPal?

Or is it necessary for me to actually first add money to my PayPal account?

I honestly do not know, sounds like a paypal problem. I would contact paypal customer support and tell them about the issue.

Is paypal blocked from China, so you need VPN for this?

My interpretation of what's been written above is that Paypal have blocked any use via VPN, not that any use from China is blocked... Indeed the OP says they've managed to link their bank account to their Paypal account, I doubt that would be possible if the site were blocked.
