|
|
I subscribe to Gixen and mirror and have used the service successfully in the past. However, yesterday I placed a snipe on item 223541421372 which was not placed due to "network error" the item had no bids and has since been re-listed. I am trying to work out what went wrong as I was clearly not out bid.
Any help appreciated as I don't want this to happen again.
Thanks. |

Was this the status given the snipe on both the Main and Mirror server tabs ? _________________ Mark |

I just looked, and main server received a network error, while mirror server received back from eBay "internal application error" with eBay error code 10007. I have no idea what it means, only eBay does.
I will open a case with eBay about this, but it may take a while to receive a response. It looks like they had an issue at that moment. This is very rare, but it happens. |

Thank you so much for looking at this. Yes it was marked as an error on both servers. If it was an ebay error then at least I know I didn't do anything wrong! |

This also happened to me and I've never had this happen before. Item was 192949472597 and no bids were made and item did not sell. I got an email stating auction ended but no bid was ever placed. |

That is not a valid item number.

As stated on the auction page:
'This listing was ended by the seller because the item is no longer available.' _________________ Mark |

Is this a reasonably new Ebay account ?
Ebay sometimes give that kind of error when they want more information from you before they will allow you to place more bids.
I recommend placing a few manual bids before setting up any more snipes on Gixen, and if you find Ebay then prompts you for information, like your credit card number or Paypal account, that should sort this issue out. _________________ Mark |

Here is what eBay returned:
"To help protect your account, eBay has put a temporary block on your site activity at this time. In order to maintain a safe trading environment, limits are occasionally placed on accounts until we obtain additional verification from a member. These limits in no way are meant to question your record with eBay or standing within the eBay community. At this time, we ask that you complete the verification process."
eBay then provides the following link:

If Ebay are now happy, just as they will through their own website, they should indeed also accept last second bids via Gixen. _________________ Mark |
