Hi Mario,
I have another sniper account and they have a button on their page that is "Refresh" and you click on it and it updates the current bid amount so you know where your snipe stands.
This would be great for Gixen because quite often Gixen is way behind as far as current bid goes - especially toward the end of an auction when lots of bids are coming in.
Also, Gixen doesn't like the "F5" approach, so maybe something like a "Refresh" button for the page OR for each item would be a big help.
Thanks for the great service.

Have you investigated using the Gixen Desktop Manger, if up to date pricing is an issue for you ? _________________ Mark |

Hi Mark,
Thanks for your reply.
I didn't use Gixen Desktop Manager because I couldn't get it to work before.
I just tried it again and now it works fine. (I couldn't get it to log me in before.)
I see there is a "Refresh Gixen Status" button. Very KEWL.
Thanks, David |

The "Refresh Gixen Status" button, should be used after an auction has completed to get a better indication as to the eventual status from the Gixen server(s).
The prices in the GDM update periodically by default, using the resources of your own computer. There are options to change the frequency at which those price updates happen... _________________ Mark |

Hi Mark,
Thank you for your reply.
I notice under Preferences the default setting for "Price Refresh Interval" is "Variable" for the refresh.
I've left the setting there. But I'm sure that as the end draws closer, I'll bump up the frequency.
Thanks, David |

'Variable' does in fact mean 'increase the frequency as you get closer to the end of the auction'... So you may well find that the default setting is exactly what you want. _________________ Mark |
