It doesn't look like my bid was even placed. The ending bid was $2.550. and reserve not met. I had a bid in Gixen for $3,000. apparently it was not placed, though it did say " scheduled". ????

The bid was placed, but the status is "RESERVE NOT MET". Please take another look, both in Gixen and in bid history.

Just for extra clarity... what this means is that $3,000 was below the reserve price, because that will be the bid that Gixen placed on your behalf.

The fact that the auction finished at a price of just $2,550 is a reflection of the fact that is one bid increment more than the next highest bidders highest bid of $2,500.

This is how Ebay works, it won't actually show your submitted maximum bid until it is outbid by someone else.
