Verification code required, could not log in

I tried to get onto Gixen to set up a snipe. After forgetting my ebay password a few times, I left Gixen for over an hour as per advice, came back and logged in with no issues (having checked the password via Ebay). I set up the snipe but it failed, returning the 'Verification code required' message.

I went into Ebay via the same browser and followed the same instructions as given to a user who had had the same problem, but Ebay did not request a verification code when I logged out and logged back in again...

This was all carried out via a tablet, I don't know if that made any difference?

Yes, as I mentioned in response to one of the occasions that advice was posted, it isn't going to work for everyone. Here:

My advice is to wait another day before entering any more snipes here on Gixen.

What happens is that Ebay detects that you tried to log in via the Gixen server with incorrect credentials... it then blocks you from doing so from the same location even with the right credentials, until you enter a verification code... which you can't do via Gixen.

However, you may well be able to log in via other locations, where you have not tried to enter an incorrect password, e.g. your home without any issues at all.

Fortunately, Ebay only tend to put up such blocks for a day or so... So, assuming you get your password right when logging into Gixen from now on, you should be OK to try again tomorrow.
