Gixen mirror service

First timer here

I have a question about the mirror service

lets say i put the main server at 6 offset
and the mirror service at 3 offset and some one put a bid in the 5 sec

will i get the item ?

from what i understand the mirror service is to insure the bid being placed but will it bid 2 times for me ?

The mirror service is only insurance to make sure your bid gets placed - once. Both the main and mirror servers will try to place your bid - but eBay is only going to accept one of those bids since they are both for the same dollar amount.

The redundancy gives you protection against technical glitches that might cause a bid to fail. If one server fails to place the bid then you have a second stab at if from the other server.

I agree entirely with the previous reply.

Gixen doesn't work, as most seem to assume, by monitoring what others are doing on the auction and reacting to it.

All it does is place the bid you specify at the time you specify.

It is the way Ebay bidding works that ensures that you never pay more than one bid increment more than another bidder was prepared to pay, Gixen doesn't need to concern itself with such matters as a result.
