Account Keeps Getting Suspended

Hi, I am a paying Mirror subscriber and recently my account has been continuously suspended for 1 hour at a time due to failed login attempts.

The only issue is that each time this has happened I have already been logged in successfully to both eBay and Gixen. I have only been trying to add snipes when this seems to occur randomly with no prior warning. I have made 100% sure that the password is entered correctly for both eBay and Gixen, which must be the case as I otherwise wouldn't have been able to login to Gixen at all.

I have tried setting snipes through the Gixen Proxy although it is unclear if this has helped any, the problem still occurs at random.

I understand this temporary suspension needs to happen for security, although the frequency of it happening is quite frustrating. I also seem to have to re-enter all my snipes when the account is live again as they all get cancelled during the suspension. This can take absolutely hours.

Any help to prevent this would be greatly appreciated, as I have used Gixen with success for several years and hope to continue to do so.

Since I was forced to change my password I have unfortunately tried entering my old password on several occasions, this is because I have the old password saved on several devices for most of the Ebay sites, since I buy worldwide.

I just keep forgetting which I have updated, and which still have those old credentials.

It appears that so many failed login attempts prompts Ebay to take action against your account, in order to prevent any automated attempt to access your account. Then it s impossible to log in to Ebay without entering a captcha image no matter whether you are entering the correct credentials or not.

Ebay is now extremely sensitive to this, so it seems you just have to make sure you never enter the wrong credentials on any of their sites at any time, from any location... Then after a while they do leave your account alone again ... That is the best advice I can give at this time.

Thank you for your reply. I did indeed enter the wrong password once or twice on my mobile while trying to log in to eBay, although I didn't think this would affect Gixen. It does sound like this may be the problem and I'll just have to be extremely careful while entering my password on all devices from now on.

It is a shame that eBay have become so strict about this and any advice to work around the problem is always appreciated.
