I've been using Gixen for about 5 days now and haven't won an auction yet. Bids aren't going through. Any suggestions?
Ebay item number 281865106167, 262162894524, 121818228129, 301801975293. Most of them had this message: COULD NOT BID: PHONE OR TEXT VERIFICATION REQUESTED BY EBAY. The last one just said "ended" and the bid I entered didn't get placed.

I tried adjustments to proxy setting but not sure if I did it correctly.

Once you have set up the Gixen socks proxy you need to then try to place a bid on Ebay.. because then you are doing it like Gixen does via the Gixen server... When you try to place a bid that way you should encounter the same hurdle that Gixen does (which cause you to have a status of 'COULD NOT BID: PHONE OR TEXT VERIFICATION REQUESTED BY EBAY')... but you should then be able to get over that hurdle using the on screen instructions that Ebay provides you with.

Once you have done the Ebay verification that way Gixen should then be able to do its automated bidding again.

Can you give complete instructions for setting up the Gixen socks proxy? I think I did it correctly and placed a bid through ebay and it worked. Then my next snipe failed. Item 281865106167.

I normally use Chrome as my browser.

I have logged out of Ebay, cleared cookies, reset the proxy according to Mario's instructions, successfully placed several manual bids, but so far, Gixen's snipes are all the same.....rejected due to PHONE VERIFICATION, etc.

I am curious as to how a manual bid can be successfully placed, but the same proxy (with presumably the same IP) is rejected.

I've been with Gixen for many years, but I appear to be crippled at the moment.

I don't know.

For a more speedy resolution of the issues you both have I recommend emailing Mario directly at the support address given on the 'Contact' tab above.

Perhaps refer back to this thread, but if so please indicate which poster you are since there are two on here... as well as, always in emails, please include your Ebay id, but never your password.

Well.....maybe there's hope. Suddenly tonight Ebay wanted phone verification for login on both of my Ebay accounts. I left the computer on Gixen's proxy, so maybe something finally floated to the top. Even though, I had cleared cookies, I'm beginning to think it might be something on Ebay's end that has to "reset". I'll cue up a Gixen snipe and give it a shot. Will report back.....although I really don't know what to offer as far as a solution.

I guess persistence is to be recommended... keeping going down the path that has worked for others can, hopefully, eventually pay off.

Oh well.....it was a hopeful shot. Same failed snipe. I thought for sure I might have stumbled onto something.
