MAJOR ISSUES TODAY - LOGIN TIMEOUTs and other

At the moment, most snipes are failing due to connectivity issues to eBay.

I am looking into this and will post updates here.

The interface is disabled, and very few snipes are going through. If you need to disable all your snipes, the fastest way is to change your ebay password.

Until Mario posts otherwise on this thread I wouldn't guarantee it.

I have a note of my snipes (I add them to a dedicated list on Ebay as I add them here)... so I have manually entered the bids I want for the next few hours... and will check back here, before I go to bed, to see if it is wise for me to enter more.

Hey buddy your the man and have helped me A LOT over the years. About every other year I get the mirror service just so I can support you. If we can get back up I'll be sure to sign up again as it's been almost a year since I renewed. You're the man, I hope this can be resolved as Gixen is the only way I ever win any auctions!

2 out of 3 snipes worked tonight in Uk on items. Don't know if this is of any help Maria, but hope you get it sorted soon!

Mirror server seems to be back to normal now, while I am still struggling to normalize things with the main server, on which more snipes fail than go through. For the most part, it's still blocked by ebay.

You should also be able to log in now, if you logged in to Gixen within past 24 hours. If not, your login will most likely be refused.

I am working on resolving these remaining issues.

Hi Mario,
I see this in the status column for many of my bids today (Tuesday 11-3 in US):
HTTP TIMEOUT (77).

Despite this status, it appears that the bids did go through as I did win many items. Perhaps I am lucky to be a mirror subscriber and also that I logged in within the last 24 hours. I see from other posts this may be why the bids did go through.

I hadn't seen this posted, so wanted to inform you. Thanks for your wonderful service.

FYI I use a backup snipe service and none of my snipes for today went through with them either. Because I had issues with their service recently I decided to sign up for Gixen after doing some research. But it seems like something is going on in the last couple of weeks with Ebay blocking snipe services, or something, you would no more than me. I just wanted to alert you that your service isn't the only one having problems today.

Thanks for all the successful snipes in the past...

I had some today that didn't go through - one HTTP(77) and one other that said Network Error. Hope that Ebay hasn't decided to crack down!

I will keep an eye on things and hope for the best.

Had a snipe work fine, probably from the mirror, though emails from GIXEN aren't coming at the moment so can't tell

Regardless, its 100x better then *ahem* other services where there is 0 support

I'll probably end up payinf for enough Mirror service to outlast eBay itself

had 2 error msgs but i still won both.. thank goodness...

the first said EBAY ERROR: LOGIN TIMEOUT (1)....
(this occurred 11/3/15)
ebay # = 141813208781
no competition so it was an automatic win without snipe working...


the 2nd one said: HTTP TIMEOUT (77)
(this occurred 11/4/15)
it said ENDED in the list page & showed current bid of 8.50, but when i opened the actual ad, it showed it had sold for 9.50 to ME! my max was higher than my original bid of so the snipe value did let me win, even with the snipe problem.... unless one of the servers failed but the other worked.. i guess thats what happened... i did have a snipe bid on this one even tho the results on the gixen list don't show "WON"...

I have been getting Timeouts and connection resets on ebay itself, Especially on any page that uses the ebay rover API, so part of the problem is an ebay connectivity issue, NOT a GIXEN issue

Please can you report, on that thread, what status you received on the Mirror tab, because the Mirror facility has not, so yet, been reported to have the same issue as the Main server.

Add me to the list of people who can't log into Gixen.

I haven't been able to log into the system for almost a week now, but just discovered this Support forum today.

I love this service and paid for the full service version, but not being able to log in and do any snipes is really frustrating.
