my username shows incorrectly in Auction Sniper 1.2

My eBay username contains letters and ends in an asterisk. I have installed Auction Sniper 1.2 into Firefox. I have confirmed that I typed my username correctly by going into Add-ons Manager and checking the options.

However, when I click on the Add to Gixen button on an eBay page, the Gixen Autosnipe page that pops up has my username with the asterisk replaced with: %2A

Any suggestions?

You can safely ignore that, it's a hex code for the *.

As for "Auction Sniper 1.2", that's competition, another sniping site, not Gixen's add-on. Gixen's add-on is autosnipe.

I had tried logging in to eBay using the translated %2A in place of the * and it said invalid login. I guess Gixen autosnipe can login in a way that I can't manually in order to place the bid?

As far as the "Auction Sniper 1.2": that is what was installed as a Firefox add-on when I clicked on the link in this post by the author "Autosnipe"

After installing it, the Firefox add-on page says it installed "Gixen eBay Auto Sniper 1.2" by author Keith Hopkins, so I assumed it was a valid Gixen Add-on, not a competitor's masquerading as Gixen's and showing up on Gixen's Forum. I'll remove it immediately!
