Hello,

I've placed a bid of 880 on item 131351159278 20 minutes before auction end. The winning bid was 855, so apparently there was no snipe from Gixen. Could you please check what could have happened?

After the auction had finished what status did Gixen give your snipe?

now it shows nothing, but once it said that the bid was entered too late (20 minutes should be plenty)

Did you use the browser refresh function after editing the snipe?

The Gixen site can think you are repeatedly editing the snipe if you do that.

As an alternative to using the browsers' refresh button I use the 'Add' button without any snipe details in the boxes... that avoids this issue.

My apologies for the late reply. The status that I see is "AUCTION RESTRICTED: SHIPPING ADDRESS COUNTRY RESTRICTED".

This means that the bid was not accepted because seller does not ship to your country.

Thanks, Mario. Is there on ovverride option to this? I might be able to have it shipped elsewhere (where it ships) or discuss with the seller to ship it to my location indeed. Many sellers in Europe don't indicate shipping to other countries because of language issues, but if they see it's not a problem, they are willing to.

There is nothing that Gixen can do when it encounters this problem.

The seller can alter the listing to allow international bids before you place a bid.

I believe you can now alter your shipping address and Ebay will allow bids that are available to be shipped to that address. If you were going to use Gixen in conjunction with that I would recommend have separate Ebay accounts with a fixed shipping address, otherwise you are going to have your work cut out to keep changing the shipping address in time for each auction you want to snipe.
