As I remember, everytime I logged into Gixen the current bid price was always current, now to get current price, I must go to item in Ebay. Why the change?

This is not a change, Gixen only updates the prices from Ebay periodically no matter whether you log in and out at all.
If you want or need to have real time price updates I recommend the use of the Gixen Desktop manager which runs on Windows PCs.
