When trying to run gixen desktop on Win 8.1 I get following message:
Socket Error #10060
Connection timed out.
What does this mean . |

Others have reported having this issue, over the past few years.
My first suggestion would be to try running the GDM in XP compatibility mode.
Let us know whether that makes any difference.

Set to XP mode seems to work OK.
Worked OK with Win 7 but did fail sometimes, just upgraded to 8.1 !!!!! |
