Item 261445269703
Gixen bid wins but I haven't Won the auction. Strange, wish I'd bid normally as I've been looking for ages and this would have been a great deal.
Any ideas? Maybe the seller ended the auction 10 seconds before scheduled end to foil snipers? Seems counter productive tho. I would of played more.. |

If you look on the auction page it says:
'This listing was ended by the seller because the item was sold.'
As you suspected, that means the seller ended the auction before it would have normally finished.
Gixen could never have anticipated the seller ending the auction in this way. _________________ Mark |

Ah I see. It was a slightly dodgy listing anyway. I suspect some shill bidding going on there...
Thanks for clearing that up. Don't know what I'd do with out gixen power! |

If the seller was winning with their own bids you may find that he cancels the transaction (and gets all his fees back) and then re-lists.
I occasionally see sellers doing that when they think the price is going to be too low but they don't want to pay for a reserve. If they do it too often Ebay are likely to detect it and remove their selling privileges.
From what we can see of the winner of this one it does not look likely though... the buyer has bid on many similar items from different sellers, which is not common for a shill bidder. _________________ Mark |
