Hi,
Is, either, Gixen or eBay's auto-bid consistently faster?
Thanks
item # : 201042166545 as a recent example. |

It is a common misconception that it is possible to win against a higher proxy bid in the last few seconds of an auction, it is not.
Once Ebay has accepted a bid, that bid will always win if it is greater than any other bid placed before the auction ends no matter how late the other bids are.
The advantage of sniping is in not allowing others to react to your bid, there is no advantage over those that have already placed high bids on Ebay and would never consider consider submitting another higher bid if the one already placed were to be outbid.
Your example auction is one where there were two late bids as the highest two... I don't really see what relevance it has to the question that you asked... unless I have misunderstood the question? _________________ Mark |
