Hi,
I lost a item (121217371155) even though my maximum bid (15.99) was higher than the winning bid (12.50).
On Gixen next to status (main) and status (mirror) it says EBAY ERROR: SELLER NOT ACCEPTING BID. I don't really get what's gone wrong and am very disappointed as the item was for my daughter Esmé .
Hope someone can help!
Many thanks ,

Hannah,

As the status implies it means that Ebay returned a page indicating that your bid was blocked by the seller.

There is nothing Gixen could do to get your bid accepted.

You can contact the seller to ask why they did not want you to bid on their item.

If you have no previous dealings or contact with the seller it could be because you have unpaid item cases against your account or it could be because you have a very low feedback count.

Hi Mark ,
Thank you for your reply , I have 100% positive feedback and always pay for items immediately so I have no clue why I would be refused ! Tried contacting seller for a reason but no reply Sad
I feel very annoyed about the whole situation to be honest.

item id # 301093613795
I put a high bid of 755.00$ on this item and got the message: EBAY ERROR SELLER NOT ACCEPTING BID. I have reached out to the seller to ask why but as yet had not heard back from him. What if he says he did not put a not accepting bid on my user name? is there any chance there is some kind of a mistake? I am disappointed. Thank you for looking into this. Sincerely 1earthwlf.

1earthwlf,

If the seller does respond that they did not block your bid either explicitly or implicitly (with conditions that all their bidders must conform to) then either they are not being honest with you or there is a problem with Ebay...

Gixen can only give that status if Ebay returns a page that says your bid is not accepted when it tries to place the bid that you specified, so there really isn't anything that Gixen can do wrong in this respect.

Below is what the page returned by ebay says. "Learn more" link points to http://pages.ebay.com/help/buy/bidding-overview.html

Sorry, the seller is not accepting bids or offers from you at this time.

This may occur for various reasons. For example, the seller might have a limit for the amount of items that can be purchased within a given time.Learn more.

thank you, I think I figured out what i did. having purchased from him before I had inquired about keeping the item for pick up till the 1st of the month ( a week away) . he had said no he didn't want to. knowing the item was in storage i inquired further about keeping it in storage and paying for the storage too. well he gave me the storage rate and answered all my questions and said happy bidding which implied to me that he was ok with it all. I did not inform him before i bid that i had raised the $ for the item and for the shipping that week as he had initially wanted. MY MISTAKE . perhaps if he had known that I was financially ready to bid and pick up within his comfort zone the outcome would have been different . but then again what a jerk! he could have just said "no, I really dont want to do that". and that would have been the end of it too.
