Hello.
At first, want to say thank you for this service, it's great.
My issue is that this week strange things with my bidding began to happen.
I inputted data for two items (phones), max bid was 310 and 325.
When time had come for the first item gixen server made a bid not according to default algorithm (highest bid + 5$), but right 310$ - the maximum bid.
I watched bid history and previous bid was ~280$.
Such thing happened to my second item. There were no any bids, and in the end gixen made a bid 325$, although starting bid was 300$.
Is it correct?
These auctions were not dutch, seller are in US.
Thanks |

Can you let me know what the item numbers are, so that I can take a look at bid history?
On a side note, Dutch auction is a type of auction (multiple items auction) that was discontinued by eBay in 2009, it has nothing to do with the seller location. |

Actually this issue happened in 4 cases.

Gixen always has submitted your maximum bid, it does not bid incrementally, though many seem to assume that it will do.
The amount you pay is dependant on what other people bid, Ebay on;y ever makes you pay at most one bid increment more than the next highest bidder.
There would only be disadvantages to Gixen being changed to bid incrementally.
The first three you did not win because other bidders were willing to pay more than you. The last one had a reserve (you can tell because it says 'Reserve met' close to the top of the bid history page) which is why your winning bid was higher than the starting price even though it was the only bid. _________________ Mark |
