|
|
I just got an email notification from ebay that my ebay email had been changed. The email was real and when I signed into ebay, my email address had been changed to a hotmail address from an IP address I traced to Texas. I immediately changed the password on my ebay account and changed the email to another of my addresses.
The only ones with passwords to my ebay account are me and gixen, so I'm wondering if gixen has been hacked. |

I've gotten emails made to look like official ebay emails, but sent to the email address I use only for ebay. Therefore only 3 places it could have been obtained along-- ebay itself or gixen or a seller who somehow got my ebay email address. Since Gixen has my password (I had just used it to bid on some things), I was concerned enough I changed my password.
I'm just mentioning it in case you're hearing the same thing from others. If so, you should definitely look into it. I'm using Gixen again now for some bidding, so if it happens again, I'll know how, and will post again |

Anne, I have heard nothing like it from anyone else, and I assure you that Gixen servers have not been hacked. Also, I do not share users' emails with anyone, and don't even ask for them. Gixen has only emails that users shared with Gixen in order to use notifications. |

There are many ways for your ebay account to be compromised.
For the record, to my knowledge, there has never been any evidence of a connection to Gixen for any unauthorised access to any ebay account. _________________ Mark |
