hi,
how can I see the no. of bidders and costs of transport when sniping?
It would be good to see that in gixen, not to have to go back to ebay all the time.
Is that possible?

The subject of the display of shipping costs has been discussed many times on this forum, most recently on this thread:
http://www.gixen.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6119
The display of the number of bidders has also been suggested, if I recall correctly the opinion expressed was that it added extra clutter to the display without providing any real benefit... the only thing it really affects when sniping is whether a bid will be accepted by ebay at the opening price.. but that is already handled by the yellow shading of items when ebay will no longer accept the bid. _________________ Mark |

Experienced Snipers remove ourselves from the watch lists, so we don't show up as bidding until the snip hits. I usually end up re-negotiating the shipping. What is the point anyway if you are placing your maximum bid one time, so close to the finish that you cannot change it. |

It is the same when you trade the stock market. You get information from all over the place. But when you get ready to buy or sell you call the broker and place the order.
Simualary you get information from all over the place. But when you get ready to buy you log onto Gixen and place your order. Just like the stock market you can change it at any time, but if there is not enough time left you are liable for what you buy.
That is pretty much what we expect a deferred order placement system to do. |
