CURRENT BID IS NOT UPDATE

Hello all , maybe you already discussed this but i coudlnt find an answer. In my bids on my account on GIXEN, the status fo the current bid is not updated, never, it updates every 6-8 hours or at least it does to me.So if i wanna check the actual status of the bids, i cannot do it from my account but i have to go on ebay and check item per item. Can GIXEN keep updated the current status of a bid? I mean, maybe not in real time, but at least every 5-10 minutes.

I just looked, and the average is around 3 hours for mirror subscribers, less often for non-subscribers, but still not 8 hours as you state.

10-15 minutes is not feasible with the load Gixen has. If you want close to instant updates, use Gixen Desktop Manager. That way price updates are done from your desktop as often as you like.

What we are doing here is stealth. Place your maximum bid one time with Gixen. You will gain nothing my looking at it, as you are not going to raise your bid anyway if you bid was your maximum.

If you don't want anyone to see you, you can monitor your play on eBay, but be sure to remove yourself from any watch lists that you have a bid in on. Get the mirror, it is cheap insurance. Happy winning

I am a subscriber and I am having the same problem. Seems like a month or so ago (since I renewed my subscription, actually) Gixen does not update bids. I am bidding on item no. 130763540152 ...Gixen current bid shows as $15.00, but the last time that price was bid was 3 days ago (current bid is $22.50). This is much longer than the 3 hours Mario says updates should occur for subscribers. I understand sunflows \'stealth\' concept but my idea of what an item is worth can change over time, i.e., I may bid low and not change it before the end if nobody outbids me, but I may increase my bid if I\'ve already been outbid before the auction ends. Either way, it\'s still my maximum bid, and I really appreciate that Gixen used to allow me to monitor bidding without having to go to the item site every time I want to know what the current bid is. How can I get Gixen to do what it used to do just a little while ago? Thanks!

Note that the item I mention above is just an example...I have 5 or 6 bids that are not being updated.

rschlexer, the process may have stalled on one of the servers. I restarted it, the prices should be updated in the next few hours. Thank you for letting me know.

Just to avoid this being misunderstood, I will repeat again: price updates are there for user convenience only. They do not affect sniping.

Mark -- both my main target and my mirror target are set to the US eBay sites.

Mario -- thanks for resetting the server...that helped with a few items but some bids do still not update as of this time and date.

I understand that price updates are there for my convenience only and that they do not affect sniping, but in my opinion this is a tremendous benefit of Gixen and I used to use it frequently. The current price box used to turn yellow when I was outbid. I'd love to have that feature back, if you can swing it.
