Have only started using Gixen lately, and it is a great tool.
Kudos to developing what you have; and thanks for keeping the passion necessary to keep it going... and for making it available at such a ridiculous price

Here are a couple of things I see:

I watch a long list of items, and bid on a great many.

Every time I want to input a new bid, or modify a previous bid, the system "refreshes" the entire page, which takes time; but/and then leaves me somewhere other than where I left off. I must then find where I left off, before I can proceed with the next item input.
It would be great if the system waited until all inputs/bids were keyed in.. and only then does the system refresh/update....ie/ once.

Also, it would be really handy if the bids could be input next to the actual listing. ie/ perhaps in a box just underneath the "Edit" button on each listing. Combined with the above idea... it would really streamline inputs.
I could zip through 100 items in little time.

I tried using the csv export/import method. Took a few minutes to figure out what the 2 extra columns were intended to be .. I could not find instructions anywhere, so I just tossed in a few numbers and figured out what was affected... (bid and group)
However.. if you have many items, it is hard to use this method as there are no pictures, and it is impossible for me to remember the item numbers without flipping back and forth. Also, when I export, it rearranges the item numbers in decending numeric order rather than leaving them in time/date order. (I did not experiment to see if I could change that)

None of the above is needed if you only have 5 or 10 items that are on the bid/watch list.. but put 100-150 items on the list, and the problem quickly becomes evident.

Not sure if any of these features can be added..
And even if they are never added.. I'll keep using Gixen as it is a joy compared to doing things the old way

Cheers...

Thank you for the feedback, and I have to tell you that I agree with you - the interface is not suited the best to bidders who bid on many items. Partially that's because I initially saw ebay buying as something individuals do for their own needs - I did not realize how many users do it for business. The second reason is - I shine in backend development, but I am not really a web developer, in fact I am horrendous at it. That explains why there hasn't been a major overhaul of an already outdated interface.

Now, all this said, in my defense I did provide tools for other developers to do things better - with Gixen API there isn't anything one can't do (and if something is missing, I promptly respond to such requests).

Hi there, first many thanks for this great and helpful website !
Now, I'm just asking why there's no pictures anymore as "Show images option" for my account is turn On ?
Using firefox 15.0.1, so is it one of its bug ?
All the best

This depends on the image hosting provider. Not all are supported, only the most common ones. Let me know what item ids you don't see pictures for and I will look at it.

burn_notice09,

Item 330794519601 shows a picture in Gixen when I add the item as a snipe, but that is after the auction had ended, did in not do so when you added it before?

Hi and many thanks for your reply. No, it didn't but was fine after the auction ended. Now it seems back to normal except sometimes I have a picture that has nothing to do with the items. Try this one if you have time to compare:
150904896915
Just have some kind of green squares instead a the seller's picture.
Thanks and all the best.

150904896915 is fine for me... I do sometimes see elements of the listing rather than the main image, which is what you are describing here, the image you refer to is a bit lower down in the main description... that is because some hosting of images is not picked up by Gixen... it doesn't really bother me greatly as it happens only once every few weeks on the auctions I take an interest in.
