I am often out-sniped by a 2 seconds later other sniper .... is it possible to set a finer resolution in secons, like 5 and 4 seconds? - Regs, W |

No, however you have three seconds snipes if mirror subscriber. But how would that help you with this problem? |

Hi Mario, i just did that to see if it works, but get the warning that it's no use,
and i will leave the mirror as it is. What do you think? Thanks, W |

Setting snipes later increases the risk that they would be late, hence the warning.
Mario is correct to question why you think it is helpful to set later snipes... just because there are later bids than yours does not mean that people have REACTED to your bid via Gixen, it just means thay used a service that bids later... if a bid was scheduled to happen later but was for a higher amount than yours, then it was going to win no matter when yours was scheduled to happen... in fact due to the bid increment and first bid rules it is actually more likely that you will win by bidding earlier, not later, in these circumstances.
A later bid is only an advantage if it reduces the number of reactions you get to your bid... there is very little evidence that anyone is able to react to a 6 second (the default Gixen offset) snipe, and even if they could they would be wasting their own time as they would be better off scheduling a snipe for their true maximum. _________________ Mark |
