|
|
If i place a bid of 50$ on a auction, but the highest bid just before closing time is 15$. Will Gixen then bid 50$, or will it find the lowest possible bid, say 16$ automaticly, and then keep bidding over other incomming bids untill a maximum of 50$?
Please help, using the free version. |

Gixen will submit $50 to ebay, and then ebay proxy bidding will determine the amount needed to win. If the current high bidder's maximum bid is 15$, you will win it for $15 + increment (~$16 or whatever it is). |

As you can se Gixen did not post the lowest possible bid. It directly placed my highest bid so I got bid over. I am the 43 star guy placing the 25 Euro bid on top of the 20.10 Euro bid.. |

As Mario said Gixen sends your highest bid, eBay then works out if you have won and if so what you should pay (which will be the amount you bid or less if no one else placed a bid near the value of yours). In your case there were other bids that were more than yours so you did not win. The winning bid had already been placed before yours was sent by Gixen, their nid may have been much more than 27.17, but they only have to pay 27.17 because that is one increment above the next highest bidder. You still have to be the highest bidder to with with any sniping tool like Gixen, unfortunately in this case you were not.
So the short answer to your question is; Yes, Gixen worked fine, just as it is supposed to. _________________ Mark

So you're saying that if there were no other "autobids" active, I would have gotten this item for 22 Euros even though I placed a bid of 25 Euro through gixen? |

Correct, if the highest maximum bid of other bidders had been 21 euro you would have won for 21 + 0.50 = 21.50 EUR |

There is no need to apologise, we are happy to explain. Good luck with your sniping. _________________ Mark |
