Seller ISN'T away but I still get 'not eligible to bid'

I keep getting "You are not eligible to bid on this item" notices.

But NONE of the auctions have said the seller is away, not even one.

The two most recent items are 143565729244 and 174233752178.

And if you look at seller's other items for both of the above then it's not showing either of them to be away either.

And it's simply not the case to say it's only 1% of items, it's cost me half the bids I would have won in the past week.

If it was not working at all but it's super frustrating when it's partial with no notice, as that means I have no idea whether entering manual bids instead would be better or worse (giving others time to keep entering higher bids).

This is not the same status as you get if the seller is away, hence my having split this off from the thread that you originally posted this on, in order to reduce confusion.

There is some other reason why your Ebay account is not allowed to bid on these Xbox's:

Is your delivery address in the UK ?

Have you ever had your account details verified ? Perhaps by supplying telephone contact details to Ebay ?

Have you been given any non paying bidder strikes in the last year ?

Is your Ebay account long-standing or set up relatively recently ?

Have you ever supplied your credit card details to Ebay when logged into this account ?

Are these Xbox's very different from the things you normally buy with this Ebay account, perhaps only in terms of them having greater value than what you usually purchase there ?

Have you tried contacting Ebay customer support and asking them why their site is rejecting your bids on these items ?
