However, I was rushing to sign up (my son suggested it), and paid the $6 because I misunderstood. Any way I can cancel that-I did not use that service and feel dumb. If not, please at least cancel any subscription, I won't use groups.

You did benefit from the extra reliability provided by having a Mirror account, I can see that because two bids were placed on this auction for you within the same second.

That is the primary benefit of a Mirror subscription (hence it being named as it is) not the ability to use Groups.
