I put a Gixen bid on the above item, it failed to go on and I lost the item. Gixen gave the following message: AUCTION RESTRICTED: BIDDER HAS UNPAID ITEMS.
I contacted Ebay and I have no unpaid items |

| As a bidding restriction a seller can set, this can follow you for up to one year since the date of the last unpaid item on your account history. It's not just about any current unpaid items. |

It is about having been reported for not paying for something that you committed to, in the past, by a previous seller.
It is not, at all, about whether you have paid for things that you recently put in your shopping basket.

This has just happened to me, I have never had unpaid items in the past. In fact, I just set 2 snipes for the same seller, one of them was executed successfully and the other one just didn't go through specifying the same error.
AUCTION RESTRICTED: BIDDER HAS UNPAID ITEMS
What is happening? |

Sellers can set this restriction on a per auction basis so the fact you can bid on some of that sellers auctions is, unfortunately, not conclusive that there is a problem either with Gixen or with Ebay.
