It depends what currency this was in, what bid increment was enforced.. but, no matter, it is never as low as 1.
This is how Ebay works, if there is a bid on an auction you must bid at least one bid increment more than the current auction price... Otherwise the bid is rejected hence 'BID UNDER ASKING PRICE' is a correct representation of what happened when Gixen tried to place your bid at the end of the auction.
On the listing page, it may have said something like 'Enter US $3.99 or more' if you looked at it before the other bid was placed, perhaps when you set up the snipe. However, that would not have been the case once that other bid had been placed... then it would have said something like 'Enter US $4.19 or more'... _________________ Mark |
