Double Bidding

I've noticed on the auctions I've won over the past few days that Gixen is placing 2 bids for me. I don't think this used to be the case. So far it has been auctions where I'm the only person bidding (twice), and the reality is that it shouldn't matter even if others are bidding (my assumption is the bid amount is my max for each bid placed which really has no affect on each other).

I'm a paid subscriber, thus using the mirror which may have something to do with it.

This is normal if you have mirror. It doesn't matter really, but if you want to avoid it, you can use different offsets for main and mirror.
