Why am I getting this message? I got it twice now within the same few days on consecutive bids. I'm using a new eBay account. Would that be why? |

It could be that Ebay requires further verification of a new account.
Have you tried placing any manual bids on Ebay via this account?
What was the auction number? _________________ Mark |

I can login to Ebay fine without having to verify anything else or entering any captcha characters.
Have not tried any manual bids on the account. I have bid on similar items using a different older ebay account and it went through fine using gixen.
I'm guessing it's a gixen problem? |

If you would like someone to look into it further you will need to provide an auction number. _________________ Mark |

I figured it out.
To help anyone else out, if you try to snipe with a new account, make sure you add ALL your contact info (address, phone, email, etc) into your account info BEFORE trying to snipe with gixen or it will not work, plus make sure you have a STRONG password. Best way to double check to see if you've done everything right is to try to bid on any item and see if it goes through without any hiccups (just pick any popular item and bid just one dollar more than the current bid) If it goes through, you can then use gixen to start sniping.
Hope this helps someone else out having the same problem! |

^^I forgot to specify that I meant your EBAY account. Add all your contact info into your EBAY account before using gixen. |

Ebay never asked for verification. I just decided to fill out all my info and added my paypal account as well as made my password stronger. Your advice or should I say "questions" actually didn't help much at all. Nice try in taking the credit though! |

I agree, next time I answer this question I should state more directly that you should always place some manual bids on a new Ebay account before using it with an automated tool like Gixen. I should certainly worry less about offending any users that had already done that and just failed to mentioned it.
Verification includes the set-up of the account to include all relevant details required to place bids. _________________ Mark |
