Mario-
What happened? I was the high bidder on 120154820842 but lost because "Auction Restricted: Requrements Not Met" (ship to USA only, I'm a Canuck) - but I had contacted the seller and he said he'd be willing to ship it to me! |

Well, he must have put that restriction in place anyway, not realizing that you would not have been able to place a bid... |

I think that if you see 'Post to: United States' that is enough for eBay to reject all bids from locations outside the US.. the seller probably didn't even realise that they had imposed the restriction when they set up the auction... He would need to have either set it up as 'Worldwide' (most common) or specifically included your location (Canada?) along with the USA. _________________ Mark |

The seller should have put you on his "buyer requirements exemption list". That would have specifically allowed you to bid on his items regardless of any buyer requirements he has set up.
Perhaps you should send the seller the following link to the relevant eBay help page:

Thanks for your helpful replies; they have explained the problem of the rejected bid. I'm now wiser about EBay "restrictions" and how to forestall them.
Gixen is not only a vital facility for EBay bidders like myself, but the site creator and users are also an amazingly positive and helpful bunch! |
