Copy ebay item number directly from search results?

I would love for a Chrome extension that enables me to copy the ebay item number directly from the search page without having to load the page and grab the item number from there. Does something like this exist? Is it even possible?

Personally I wouldn't recommend placing a bid on any auction for which you have potentially never even looked at the auction page.

As you are probably aware the Firefox extension places a snipe button on the auction page itself.

Of course, if you can get enough support from the other users here, and have access to the skills needed to produce such an extension.. then I'm sure Mario would be happy for it to be promoted here.
