what if I won the item in Germany, but there is something wrong with the item and seller agrees to take the item back?
I assume there is no way to enter the cancel process, as the US ebay did not demand the fees.
Sorry if this was discussed already, but I canīt find a similar case
thanks |

If you bid on the US site then the rules of the US site apply to the transaction, no matter where it is located or even where it was listed. In order for you to have been able to place the bid then seller must have agreed to sell internationally and therefore accepts the rules of the other sites on which the listing subsequently appears.
This is, however, the main reason why we have a Target setting on the Settings page... that changes which site your bid is placed on... rules vary slightly from one jurisdiction to another, but you have the choice which you want.
All is not lost if you have already made a purchase in a different jurisdiction... You just need to use the process on the site where the bid was placed... you are still protected by the rules that apply on that site... there really are very few differences between the sites, so it is just a minor inconvenience that you have to log into a different one. _________________ Mark |

so if I got you right, I was wrong... next time, I will just enter eBay USA.
In most cases, only the fees are in question
thanks again |

The Ebay site via which bid was placed is the site that you can use to initiate the returns process. It does not matter which Ebay site the item was originally listed on. _________________ Mark |
