BID PRICE HIGHER THAN BUY IT NOW PRICE

I have a snipe bid placed for an Ebay item with the price higher than the BUY IT NOW PRICE. GIXEN usually warns that this might be rejected by ebay, but this time there is no warning. I do not wish to purchase the item if I can get it at a lower price than listed, so I am hoping that no one will place bids on it, risky I know. Does Gixen still place bids even if the BUY IT NOW PRICE is lower than my snipe?

What is the item number in question?

It used to be that Gixen was not able to place bids that were higher than the BIN price, because Ebay rejected such bids. So if the BIN was still present at the end your bid would not be placed at all.

I haven't seen any indication that Gixen has changed in this respect... but having just tried to place a bid above the BIN price directly on Ebay I see that Ebay now gives a warning but still allows you to confirm the bid anyway. That may be a change to Ebay procedure.

I would be interested to know if it works for you now... but, obviously, I can't guarantee that it will, since this is the first I have seen of any potential change in this area.

281922496903. THIS WAS THE ITEM NUMBER. As you can see it was rejected by eBay or at least BLOCKED. I should have changed it or at least tried to make an offer for the item, but I am really not that disappointed. Gixen usually warns that Ebay would reject it,but this time I received no such warning, but again I knew the possibility.

Thanks for letting us know... it sounds like Ebay has changed something that Gixen was detecting to determine if your snipe amount is above the BIN price and hence the warning is no longer being generated.
