My snipe bid was $111.57. The winning bid says $32.00. Regular gixen is showing that I won. Ebay website says that someone else won with a final high bid of $32.00. Gixen mirror is showing that they still have me scheduled for an auction that has not ended yet.
What the heck???!!!!
So, did i win or not? WHAT is going on?
Thanks in advance for any help. |

I cannot investigate this without an item number - please let me know what it is. |

Hi Mario,
Thanks for your reply. I am still confused. I posted my original post above, immediately after the auction ended and at that time, ebay was showing that someone else won. In the meantime, ebay notified me that I won and paypal sent me a bill. Then, when I revisited the auction, sure enough, they finally posted me as the winner. what I am confused about now is that Gixen is showing that I won but Gixen mirror is saying that my bid is under asking.
the item number was 2522272128790.
i guess I am new to all this and just don't quite "get it" yet. Thanks. |

That doesn't seem to be a valid Ebay auction number... Ebay is not allowing me to view that listing from the UK, at least.
Anyway, Ebay only indicates that you have won an auction if you are logged into Ebay... if you just look at the listing after it has completed, it may well look like someone else won it. This is just how Ebay works these days.
The 'BID UNDER ASKING PRICE' status on the server that did not get the bid in first is normal operation for Gixen. That is because Ebay does not allow two bids of the same amount to be placed at different times on the same Ebay account. The second time you try to submit that bid Ebay tells you it must be more than you have already bid.. hence 'BID UNDER ASKING PRICE' is correct for that server. So, all this means is that because the Main server got there first and placed your bid, you didn't need the backup of the Mirror server trying to place the same bid, on this occasion. _________________ Mark |

You won this one, not sure why that was not evident right away.
It's normal that one server shows "WON" and another "BID UNDER ASKING PRICE". The second message means that ebay could not accept your bid. This can be because the current high price is already higher, but it can also mean that you already submitted that bid (by another server). |

Thanks, Mario. Regular Gixon was saying won and mirror was saying bid under asking. but in the end, yes, I did win. mirror must not have been able to bid because my high bid was the same and regular gixen won first?
thanks for making such a FABULOUS service!!!
GIXEN IS AWESOME!!! |

You are correct, in this case it must have been that the Main server placed the bid first, so the backup of the Mirror trying to do the same was blocked, you didn't need that backup to win this auction. This is normal. _________________ Mark |
