|
|
I've been using the Firefox add-on for the past few days and noticed the following problem(s). I'm in the habit of opening different Ebay items in separate tabs for comparison, so will often have 2 or more tabs open at once.
The 'Add to Gixen' link sometimes only appears in the first tab opened, and for subsequent items/tabs it is necessary to refresh the screen to get it to appear.
Also on at least two occasions I have had a duplicate link appear in the first tab opened, where the first link will add the details for the item in that (first) tab, but the second link will add the details from the 2nd or a later tab.
I didn't pay much attention to this at first and it caused me on one occasion to add the second item which I didn't want (along with a ridiculous bid) , thinking I was adding the first item. Fortunately I noticed this later when checking what snipes I had set, though I didn't understand at the time how it had happened.
The next time it occurred I wanted to add both items, so when I came to add the second item Gixen indicate that it already existed, and I noticed the first item hadn't been added as I'd thought.
So not entirely sure if this is a Firefox or a Gixen issue exactly, but refresh the tab if you see duplicate links....

It would also help if the Ebay Item description were shown in the 'Add Gixen details' window if that is possible. |

Is there supposed to be a link or icon on my Foxfire?
I downloaded Gixen to my foxfire but I cannot locate it anywhere. There is no "Gixenlink" on my Foxfire dashboard. I keep having to manually sign in to Gixen.
Thanks |

Once you have the 'Gixen ebay Auction Sniper' Firefox Add-On installed and enabled you should then see links appearing on Ebay auction pages when you visit them using Firefox...
Selecting those links allows you to add snipes to Gixen, via a panel that is displayed. _________________ Mark |

I have seen that link but do i have to place a bid in order to use it? or how can i avoid bidding and just add it to my snipe list? if i don't want to bid, but just want to snipe at the end of the auction, how exactly do i do that?
i wish you had a FAQ page for newbies. it would sure help a lot.

There is no need for you to bid on the auction.
When you see the Gixen link on the auction page you need to select that link then follow the instructions on the page that pops up as a result. Once you have completed that you will have set up the snipe via Gixen. _________________ Mark |
