\"X\" column

I am a new user as of yesterday. I see no "Help" for this question: I am not sure what the far left column with the heading of "X" is used for, is this just for the user's memo purposes, or does it stop the bid from happening? Thanks.

It is a multiple delete button.

When you have selected the toggles next to the snipes, if you push the 'X' it deletes all those snipes that are selected.
