snipe did not fire

I'm brand new to Gixen having been a JBid user for many years.
I'm hoping that this is not just a noob error.
Entered a snipe of 16.05 on item 281851112533. Winning bid was 13.05, my bid was never placed.
Hard to find item so disappointed. Did I miss something? Thanks.

What was the status that Gixen gave the snipe after the auction had finished?

I am assuming that since you have not used Gixen before that the snipe was not Mirrored.. however if it was Mirrored then the status of the snipe on then Mirror tab would also be useful to know.
