Verification code required by eBay

lost a auction tonight . when i was sure i would win the item but didnt see a email from ebay about any items won i looked into it by logging into gixen. to my dismay i see "Verification code required by eBay, could not log in" for reason given as to why Gixen failed to place the winning bid. i have used gixen sparingly and had no idea about this problem otherwise i would have just bid on the item i was interested. i am a bit pissed off to say the least.

all feelings aside i clicked on the link gixen provides to remedy the issue with the solution provided which includes having all ebay connections go through a gixen proxy. however, after following the instructions to the letter i am still not able to solve this because as of now i get the error "proxy refusing all connections". Uhg. so my question is what now?! is that the end of gixen?

Mario probably needs to tweak the socks proxy for your needs.

Please contact Mario direct via email at the support address given on the 'Contact' tab above.

Please include your Ebay id, but not your password in the email.

If possible please also refer back to this thread where you have already explained the issue you have in detail.

thank you Cupid. i sure do hope all these issues will settle as i currently have no reliable sniping tool at present and the only decent savings i have ever had on ebay, were through sniping auctions.

It appears that Mario had disabled and has now re-enabled the proxy server again, so if you still need it it is worth another try now.
