|
|
Hi,
I am placing a snipe for 191705918866 on ebay. I used the gixen website to set it up because I was on a mobile device at the time. Now, at my desktop, the desktop manager is not seeming to see it ( I am connected to the internet). So, I plugged the snipe into the manager as well.
Will that mess things up? Why is the desktop mgr not seeing it, and should I delete one or the other or neither?
Thanks |

Is nanj your Ebay id?
If you are using the same Ebay credentials for the web interface and the Desktop Manager then you should be able to see all scheduled snipes in both.
My concern with this is that you may be using two different accounts, which could indeed cause issues that could result in you even having to pay more than would otherwise be necessary if you were to win after both bids from different accounts were successfully submitted by Gixen at the end of the auction.
Please note that Gixen will not recognise that if you log on with an email address associated with an Ebay account that those accounts are in fact the same, Ebay does allow that though, I think.. So that might be the first thing to check... not such an issue if that is what has happened since Ebay at least will recognise those two as the same.
So my first suggestion would be to check again that the credentials you use in the web interface are exactly the same as you use in the Gixen Desktop Manager, both the Ebay id and the password must be exactly the same on both. _________________ Mark |

Please email me - I need to know your ebay username. Please do not ignore this issue, I need to get to the bottom of this.
Is it possible that you logged in with your email address on one of the interfaces? Gixen would treat that as a separate login. |

Hi Mario, email on the way. Apologies for my slow reply. Nanj is *not* my ebay user name, and I do not use that (nor an email address) to sign in to gixen, just used it here to fill in the blank on the form to create a post. |

... and am just now noticing that, although I signed in to gixen online here, using my ebay information prior to checking the community forum here, it shows me as not logged in, and apparently I'm posting as a guest. |

Don't worry about the fact that you are posting as a Guest.. that is usual and as intended.. the Ebay log in information only applies to the snipes page.
We want anyone to be able to post on this Community Forum, even if they have never even logged into the site to place snipes and/or they do not wish to publicly divulge their Ebay id, as is your preference, which is absolutely fine... this is the easiest way to achieve those aims.
Please do include your Ebay id in any emails though, Mario does often need it to be able to investigate specific issues. Example Ebay auction numbers of snipes also help to illustrate any issues you may have. _________________ Mark |
