Cannot connect to ebay through proxy

Hello all! I have finally encountered the dreaded ebay Captcha verification screen and am attempting to complete the verification through the Gixen socks proxy. I have followed the instructions provided to configure the proxy and have been able to verify that I am connected on the instructions page. However, when I attempt to bring up ebay, I am getting an "unable to connect to page" error. I can connect to ebay without using the proxy, and can login (after doing the captcha), however clearing the cache and cookies and re-enabling the proxy results in the "cannot connect" error every time. I have changed my password (as instructed) and cleared cookies (multiple times), but still cannot get the socks proxy to work. Any suggestions?

Browser is PaleMoon 25.7.0 running on ubuntu 12.04 LTS.

Hey guys! Great news, ebay has decided to take the captcha verification off my login, so it appears as though I can use Gixen again (at least for the time being). Please close this ticket, thanks guys.

If it comes back I would first suggest using a differnt browser, perhaps even on a different computer.

If that fails I would then recommend contacting Mario via email at the support address given on the 'Contact' tab above, he may then be able to look at things from the Gixen side of the socks proxy and may, as a result, be able to offer you a way forward.
