I notice that this error has been posted before but I have not noted any reasonable explanation or resolve. In this instance Gixen failed to bid due to a 'LOGIN TIMEOUT', and I as a bidder missed an opportunity where I would have most likely won. The seller also missed out on securing the higher price.
What is 'EBAY ERROR: LOGIN TIMEOUT (2)'?
How if we are to have confidence in our bidding can we avoid it happening?

| There was an outage in the main server facility today that lasted half an hour or so. I am quite sorry about that. This is rare, but it does happen. |

I assume it was not a Mirrored snipe?
If so, then the answer to your second question is that there is added reliability with mirror subscription because the second server you get working for you is in a different location from the Main Gixen server.
