I had no issue adding a snipe for that auction...
Even one over 10000 you are not adding a comma and a period, as in your title, are you?

Don't put both in... figures above 999 should be entered as for example 1000.01.
Commas can be used for other currencies (like Euros in Europe) in place of the periods, mixing the two would just make the system think you are duplicating periods.
