Gixen shows item as WON, but that wasn't the case. Was
outbid 3 seonds after gixen placed its bid. usually the
message then is outsniped.

The detection of a later bid has to be a separate (later) operation from placing the bid... Occasionally that later operation fails even though the, more important, job of placing the bid was successful.. That results in the behaviour your have noted here.
