The shortest offset available on Gixen is 3 seconds.
I do not believe that offsets less than 6 seconds offer any advantage, just because later is good does not in this case lead to the conclusion that latest is best. Sniping is effective when it leaves no time for others to see the bid, consider the outcome, decide that they are actually willing to pay more and then place the bid, 6 seconds is enough for that on Ebay.
